Chelsey and I wanted to take full advantage of our last day off so we were eager to try out a place not far from Alexandria called "The Block" in Annandale. This asian inspired food hall has 6 different food and beverage concepts in one location...talk about a food lovers dream! From poke bowls to ice cream this place has everything you can think of. We started off by trying out the "Poke Bowl" and a "Poke Burrito" from "Pokeworks" and some iced teas. Having Poke bowls before in the past I was impressed with the amount of options they have and how quick they put it together for you. I've never tried a Poke Burrito before so I was excited to try it out and I wasn't let down! It's basically a sushi burrito with spicy tuna and all the toppings inside and it was delicious.

After lunch we wanted to try out some new sweets so Chelsey ordered the "Green Tea Matcha Ice Cream" from "Munch" which was also surprisingly good and I ordered a "Boba Thai Tea" with honey boba from "SnoCream Company" which was so different from anything I've ever tried. The thai tea has a unique flavor but it's still really good and then the honey boba's are small and chewy in your mouth. These are different from the popping boba (in most bubble teas) that pop in your mouth when you bite them. The straw is big enough for the pieces to fit through. We shared the boba tea and the amount of caffeine in those things could get you moving all day!

Next time on my to do list we need to try the shaved ice from Snocream Company!
