brunch in the city
When Sunday rolls around, nothing sounds better than a delicious brunch on a gorgeous day with friends. We wanted to try out a place we've never been before and still budget friendly...especially after all the weekend events $$. We decided on City Council Restaurant & Bar in Uptown with the cutest little patio. The first request was mimosas for about $4.50 a glass, and we looked the menu over with most items being around $10-12 a plate. Definitely a budget friendly place! The "Boozy Cereal" section caught my eye. I've never tried cereal with alcohol in it but I thought it could definitely be something I'd like. I ended up choosing the "Fruity Pebble" cereal and let me tell you..it definitely wakes you up! It wasn't too strong tasting but you can really taste the raspberry liquor, it was a good mix with the fruity cereal. If you're looking for something boozy & delicious this is it! Sam ordered the "Texas Iron" with potatoes and jalapeños and Alex ordered the "Chicken N' Waffles". Both plates looked so good and they had nothing but good things to say. Next time I think I'm going for the "Chicken N' Waffles", as you can tell sweet foods are my thing!
